Huron Consulting Group joins the Norfolk and Waveney EPR Programme

Huron Consulting Group have joined the Norfolk and Waveney EPR programme to support delivery of MEDITECH Expanse - the new digital system being designed and built for our university hospitals group.  

Confirmed in April 2026,and pictured above with programme team members during their first working Norfolk visit, they bring more than 20 years of Meditech implementation experience from healthcare organisations around the world. Their team includes certified project managers and consultants who have worked with hundreds of healthcare organisations across multiple complex implementations.

Importantly, our Hospital’s Group retains overall responsibility for the programme. Huron brings additional delivery experience and technical know-how to the programme, working alongside Hunter Healthcare, who bring significant NHS expertise. 

Huron's role here is to support and inform. While build responsibility stays with the Trust, their experience with Meditech, with interoperability, with go-live planning, and with the operational realities of clinical environments will strengthen what we are able to deliver.

Based in the US with offices around the world, Huron has significant international experience implementing MEDITECH. The team is confident that this partnership brings together some of the best MEDITECH expertise in this country, and beyond, to design and build a system for its acute hospitals.
