Classroom sessions are where you’ll work through your training with a trainer and colleagues, in or near your usual workplace.

The training team works with your line manager to identify which sessions apply to your role, using trust systems like ESR and the rota. You won’t need to work this out yourself, once your requirements are confirmed, your manager will know what you need to attend and when.

Booking your sessions

The training team will publish the course list and your line manager will arrange to release you from your usual duties and agree a date with you.  Your attendance will be tracked so nothing gets missed.   The training booking system will be available in plenty of time for places to be booked.

How it fits with e-learning

Classroom time is kept for what works best face to face: practice, questions, working through scenarios with your trainer. Some elements are covered through e-learning instead, so classroom sessions focus on what genuinely needs a room and a person in it.

When it happens

Sessions run in the twelve weeks before go-live, so what you learn stays fresh by the time the system is live.
