Getting ready for the EPR
Before EPR goes live, everyone will receive the training they need to use the system. A mix of e-learning and classroom sessions will show you how the system works and what it means for the way you do your job.
You’ll learn using real patient journeys and the tasks you actually do, so what you practise in training is what you’ll use from day one.
Training will run in the twelve week period before go-live – close enough to go-live that what you’ve learned stays fresh.
Booking your sessions, working through e-learning and keeping track of what’s coming up will all happen through one new training system, built for this purpose.
Built with your colleagues, not just for them
Clinical experts from across the three trusts are helping build the training itself, validating workflows and shaping the guidance you’ll use, so it reflects how you actually work, not just how the system works.
Support around go-live and beyond
You’ll have named super users in your own area and floorwalkers giving hands-on help where you work, backed by the EPR change team, subject matter experts and supplier support. Quick reference guides, “how to” guides and an FAQ will also be ready, so help is there whenever you need it.
Super users will keep providing peer support after go-live too, so there’s a familiar face nearby long after formal training ends.
Where to find more
Training questions already answered are on the Staff FAQs. More detailed, role-specific training information will appear on this page as it’s confirmed.
