One EPR for Norfolk and Waveney’s hospitals

EPR team delivering joined up care

We’re delivering the biggest digital upgrade our three acute hospitals have ever seen: a single Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system.

This is a game-changing step in our transformation plans for how we care for hospital patients in Norfolk and Waveney.

The new EPR will gradually replace paper notes, giving staff one secure digital record for every patient. With real-time information at their fingertips, clinicians can make faster, better-informed decisions - leading to safer, more joined-up care for patients.

This isn’t just an IT project. It’s one of the most significant transformations of care we’ll ever undertake. Teams from all three trusts are working together to make sure the system works for everyone.

The three trusts sharing this single EPR are:

  • The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn (QEHKL)

  • Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH)

  • James Paget University Hospital (JPUH)

Together, we’re creating a digital future where care is connected, efficient and focused on what matters most: our patients.
