Change Network members hear from the programme early, share what they learn with the people they work with, and bring questions and concerns back to the programme team.
It is open to staff across all of our hospitals, sites and clinics. No nomination, no set hours, nothing to pass. You take part as part of your normal working day.
What members do
Hear it first. Members get programme information ahead of all-staff communications, through the Change Network bulletin.
Pass it on. Sharing what is happening with your own team, in your own words, in whatever way works for the people around you.
Make it real. A message that makes sense at programme level often needs translating for a ward, a clinic or an office. Members do that translating.
Listen. Picking up what people are worried about, what they are unclear on, and what is being said that simply is not true.
Bring it back. Questions, concerns and rumours come back to the programme, so we can answer them, correct them, and change what we are doing where we have got it wrong.
What is the time commitment?
Very little in set hours. There is no protected time, because this is part of your existing role rather than something added to it. If you enjoy talking to colleagues and do this naturally you’re already doing the work. You just need to keep up to date using the EPR online change hub and communications and then talk to your colleagues about the EPR.
How this differs from Champions and Super Users
The Change Network is about awareness and sharing. The Implementation Support Team is about hands-on support.
Change Network members share information and bring feedback back. They volunteer, they join themselves, and the role carries no formal accountability.
EPR Champions and Super Users are nominated by their line manager, given protected time, and trained. They support testing, training and go-live in a formal role with responsibilities they are accountable for
